    I waited 13 years to write this review. I bought one of these to have on my first day of clinicals. Day after day, year after year going through many many doors and destroying the plastic loops over and over, the reel withstood the test of time. Finally after 13 years of constant use, mine finally gave out. I will gladly spend $1 a year to avoid worrying about my badge, and have a peace of mind. I will never go back.

    I purchased this for use with my access badge at work. Every door I enter and exit must be badge swiped for passage. The lightweight retractable badge holders don't last more than a few months. This one has a braided steel cord rather than nylon. I probably won't EVER need to buy another one!

    They were very cute and for the most part sturdy. However, I would like them to be just a little bit sturdier. I am a preschool teacher and as soon as you get four keys and a couple of other dangly things they start to drag down a little bit.
